Block printing on Fabric with Little Rowan Redhead
Block printing is a lovely way of creating one-of-a-kind fabrics to use for homewares or for quilting. Come design and carve a simple motif which you will then use to print a tote bag or a tea towel.
Rowan Sivyer (Little Rowan Redhead) is a compulsive maker and has been developing her printmaking since 2008. She is addicted to lino-carving and likes nothing better than to share this passion with others.
In this crafty class Rowan will introduce you to her process of designing, carving and printing. She will share with you her materials, techniques and tips for printing on fabric. She will also bring along a whole lot of her stamps so that you can experiment printing with both your own and Rowan’s blocks.
A wonderful workshop of discovery and making.Bring along any extra fabric you may want to print on also..
Afternoon tea is served (if you want to take a break?!)..
