Over 2 Saturday mornings in October - 20 and 27 Oct from 10 - 1 pm come and create unique woven neckpieces with Nicole Robins.
The course involves learning or extending your knowledge of the traditional basketry techniques of cord making, twining and looping. We will experiment with a number of ethically sourced fibres - hemp, paper, fabric and also some locally grown natural fibres. These will be provided but participants can also bring any special materials they would like to work with as well. Nicole is interested in exploring traditional techniques but also trying to encourage individual creative exploration so that outcomes feel both creative, and very contemporary for each maker attending.
